Fall Family Fun (and Fear) at the JOY Center

Under the leadership of our new Site Director, Andrea Sherwood, the school year has gotten off to a great start at the Jeanne Otter Memorial Youth Center.

Some highlights:
- Parents came out for a Pinkberry Party as the community came together to share their children’s accomplishments
- The children each designed a square for a JOY Center Quilt
- Pre-teens and Teens now each have their own night. The pre-teens created an anti-bullying poster. We are actively recruiting more teens!
- The theme for October, of course, is Halloween — and “Fear”, including pumpkin painting, mask making, and scary scene creation. Our Halloween party is Wednesday, 10/27. Parents are invited and the kids are putting on a talent show.
