The Girls’ Basketball League championship was a great success and capstone to a wonderful season. As proud parent Catherine Ryan said of her daughter Chelsea, “Not only does she love basketball now and has plans to pursue it, I believe this experience will forever change how she will view life on a team sport. Knowing early on that a competitive team sport can be successful with supportive and compassionate coaching, supportive and hard-working teammates, focused skill building, continuous teamwork and a whole lot of fun is an invaluable lesson a parent can only hope for.” Assemblymember Deborah Glick and Council Speaker Christine Quinn came out to support the teams, which they help fund as well. Looking forward to seeing you all in the fall!
